Butterfly Garder Starting to Grow

After spending much time on preparing the soil. Researching what type of plants would attract the kind of visitors I am hoping to attract, shopping for plants and choosing to go with seeds. Shopping for the type of seed I would like to grow buying both online and at a local nursery. Waiting for what I thought to be the perfect time here in SoCal in between rainstorms I planted the seeds.

I have spent everyday looking out the window, walking by and waiting. You never know with planting seeds if they will grow. I sure wish I would have wrote down the names of seeds I planted and maybe a map. For this year I am just thankful that I got the work done ahead of time and the seeds planted. I have had several vegetable gardens and know what a lot of plants look like. Since this flower/butterfly garden is all new to me I guess I am just winging it. Plus I have heard with a Butterfly Garden it is almost like they like a disorganized place. Well, that is what they will get here!!

After some rain I was looking out the window and saw something slightly green. I hurried outside and what to my wondering eyes should appear….. little sprouts!! It always amazes me when this happens!! To me, it is like watching a miracle!

So since I didn’t make a map or even write down what I planted if you know anything about these plants please help a sister out! I know the one is a sunflower (I did plant a “Red Sunflower” and have regular sunflowers in the past so I think I figured that out)

This should get interesting!! I am so excited and hope Butterflies come for a visit!
